Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority, 'The 3rd Jebu Marina

Love Kimchi Sharing Event

○ Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority announced that it held the '3rd Jebu Marina Love Kimchi Sharing' event at the Jebu Island Community Center in Hwaseong City on December 3.

○ This event was prepared to practice warm sharing with underprivileged neighbors in the local community during the winter season and to strengthen communication and coexistence between labor, management, and local residents.

○ Approximately 40 people, including Gyeonggi Provincial Council member Park Myeong-won, the Gyeonggi Marine Leisure Development Council, the Jeburi Women's Association, the Senior Citizens' Association, and employees of the construction company, participated in the event. In particular, the warmth was doubled as the event was held jointly by labor and management with employees.

○ The kimchi made at the event was delivered to approximately 80 underprivileged households in Jebu Island who need help, including the severely disabled and single-parent families.

○ Acting President of Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority, Kim Geum-gyu, said, “The colder the season, the more we need to reach out first,” and added, “I hope that the kimchi we made with care will provide a small amount of strength and comfort to our neighbors in Jebu Island to endure the winter.” He also said, “Going forward, the port authority will continue to practice the value of warm sharing as a public institution that coexists with the local community.”
