Joint cooperation business agreement signed

Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority (CEO Seok-gu Kim) signed a joint cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Gyeonggi Social Economy Center (Director Hoon Yoo) and Gyeonggi Content Promotion Agency (Director Yong-seok Tak) at the Pyeongtaek Port Marine Center on October 28th with the goal of achieving Gyeonggi RE100.

This agreement started from the goal of converting 100% of the electricity consumption of public institutions in Gyeonggi Province to renewable energy, which was presented at the 'Gyeonggi RE100 Vision Declaration Ceremony' announced by Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon in April last year, and contains the will of public institutions to cooperate to promote practical responses to the climate crisis and achievement of RE100.

Through this agreement, each organization will cooperate in various fields, such as discovering idle land, installing renewable energy power generation facilities, and supporting the management of renewable energy power generation, to help achieve Gyeonggi RE100 goals.

The main contents of the agreement are ▲ support for the installation of renewable energy power generation facilities on idle land ▲ support for renewable energy production and management ▲ mutual sharing to achieve Gyeonggi RE100 target performance ▲ promotion of Gyeonggi RE100 and promotion of citizen participation, etc.

Kim Seok-gu, CEO of Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority, said, “This agreement will be an important milestone for Gyeonggi Province to take a step forward toward its RE100 goal based on mutual trust and cooperation between each organization,” and added, “We plan to continue to contribute to overcoming the climate crisis and promote various projects to achieve carbon neutrality.”
