Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority holds safety prayer ceremony at Jebu Marina

Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority held a 'Safety Prayer Ceremony' on Saturday, May 17 to pray for no accidents or disasters at Jebu Marina and for the safety of its users.

About 40 people, including Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority President Seok-gu Kim, Gyeonggi Marine Development Council Chairman Jin Jeong-sam, and Jebu Marina Shipowners Association Chairman In-moon Hwang, attended the event and wished for a year without accidents or disasters in 2025.

Ship owners and construction staff using Jebu Marina once again emphasized the importance of preventing safety accidents.

Kim Seok-gu, President of Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority, said, “We will spare no support, including thorough preliminary facility safety inspections and safety education, so that boats and yachts using Jebu Marina can operate safely without accidents this year,” and asked for active interest and participation in preventing safety accidents.

Jebu Marina recently completed construction to expand the dock area to prevent safety accidents, thereby maximizing dock usage time.

Jebu Marina, which opened in June 2021, is the largest marina in Gyeonggi-do, capable of mooring 300 vessels in total, 176 at sea and 124 on land. It will be reborn as a marina with complete customer convenience facilities, such as a clubhouse and ship repair shop, by the end of 2025.
