Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority Selected as Outstanding Institution for '2025 Gyeonggi Sea Together' - Received Commendation from the Gyeonggi Provincial Governor for Conservation of Marine Environment - Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority (Acting President Kim Geum-gyu) announced that it was selected as an outstanding institution and received a commendation from the Gyeonggi Provincial Governor in recognition of its active participation in marine debris collection and coastal cleanup activities under the "2025 Gyeonggi Sea Together" project promoted by Gyeonggi Province. 'Gyeonggi Sea Together' is a coastal cleanup initiative involving public institutions under the Gyeonggi Provincial Government to preserve the coastal marine environment and reduce marine debris within the province. It is a project in which each institution designates a specific coastline to carry out regular environmental cleanup activities. The Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority designated the area around Gwonwan Port and the West Wharf in Pyeongtaek City as its responsibility zone and carried out coastal cleanup activities. Employees voluntarily participated, taking the lead in collecting marine debris and practicing environmental protection. Furthermore, by actively promoting the results of the activities through press releases, social media, and the website, the Authority contributed to raising awareness of the importance of marine environmental conservation. This evaluation was conducted comprehensively based on three criteria: the number of activities, the number of participants, and promotional performance. Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority was selected as an excellent institution after receiving a high evaluation for achieving consistent results across all categories.
