Gyeonggi Province Maritime Logistics Youth Employment Academy Graduation Ceremony Held

- Providing more equal employment opportunities for young people -

□ The graduation ceremony for the '2023 Gyeonggi Province Shipping Logistics Youth Employment Academy', which was prepared by Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority to 'create jobs with more equal employment opportunities and more positive changes', was held at the Korea International Logistics Association training room on August 30.

❍ The Gyeonggi-do Maritime Logistics Youth Employment Academy is one of the basic directions of the 8th elected Governor Kim Dong-yeon's provincial administration to provide "more equal employment opportunities" to young people. It is a maritime logistics-related practical theory and field training, and employment capacity enhancement education program for young people in Gyeonggi-do who wish to enter the maritime logistics field and find employment.

❍ In particular, in this training course, job information sessions were organized as a new training program, so that managers from companies applying for jobs could directly participate and have time for mutual communication and understanding with trainees, and provide practical employment opportunities, thereby focusing on improving the employment rate and strengthening the capabilities of trainees.

❍ As a result, 28 out of 30 trainees completed the course, and 5 of them achieved remarkable results by finding early employment before graduation.

❍ In particular, in this training course, a job information session was organized as a new training program, so that the managers of companies applying for recruitment directly participated and had time for mutual communication and understanding with the trainees, and provided practical employment opportunities, thereby focusing on improving the employment rate and strengthening the capabilities of the trainees.

❍ Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority President Kim Seok-gu announced that he would strengthen support to provide young people in the province with “more balanced opportunities for capacity building and jobs full of change” and to help them design a positive future and career path.

❍ Meanwhile, the second Maritime Logistics Youth Employment Academy, which will be held starting in November for 30 young people in the province, plans to begin recruiting in mid-September.
