Background of Incentive System Implementation

Cargo attraction incentives are offered to container shipping companies and/or other relevant parties whose vessels use Pyeongtaek Port, in order to expand customer base, improve the port’s price competitiveness, expand the use of the port, and attract new cargo consignments.

- No more than 50% of the budget allocated in each criteria shall be paid to a single company.
- Any residual amounts generated in each criteria shall be transferred to the area with budget shortage. (Priority: Group 3, Group 5, and Group 4, in this order)
- Shippers not operating (or suspending business) on the date of incentive payment shall be excluded from payment. However, shippers that have resumed business in 2009, with outstanding contribution to the Port of Pyeongtaek, shall be eligible for Group 1 payment. (To be paid in 3 months after the date of resumption.)
